Why it's interesting
Henri d'Origny drew the Cape Cod in 1991 from Hermès's anchor-chain link: a square dial held inside a rectangle, with the strap threaded through the ends like a bridle. It is one of the rare watches that looks equally at home on any wrist, and it has never needed a bigger size to prove it.

Hermès (China site, English) gives 31 mm lug-to-lug height and 23 mm case width (diameterMm = case width), steel case, anti-glare sapphire crystal, opaline silvered dial, Swiss quartz (hours and minutes), 3 bar, and the 1991 Henri d'Origny design story. hermes.com product pages were blocked by Cloudflare, but its French watch listing (readable) gives the €2,875 price. Case thickness is not published by Hermès or Lepage, so it is null. Launch year of this reference not published. Drawing: the Cape Cod's anchor-chain lug openings, through which the strap passes, are not drawn; the case is a plain rectangle and the numerals sit on an ellipse inside the square dial.
