Why it's interesting
A square, screwed bezel on a bracelet so supple it pours over the wrist like fabric — the Panthère is as much a piece of jewellery as a watch, and it never pretends otherwise. In steel and at the medium size it is also one of the easiest Cartier shapes to wear every day.

Dimensions, water resistance, movement and crystal were checked against the sources below.
Cartier's spec table gives 36.5 × 26.7 mm (diameterMm = case width, lugToLugMm = length) and a 6.44 mm case (US page); its German description rounds these to 27 × 37 × 6 mm. 3 bar, quartz calibre 157, blued-steel sword hands, synthetic blue spinel crown and the €6,150 price from Cartier Germany. Cartier only says 'square-shaped glass'; sapphire is from Watches of Switzerland (Australia), an authorised Cartier retailer. Cartier dates the Panthère's design to the 1980s but gives no year for this reference. Drawing: the five-row Panthère bracelet is approximated with the jubilee pattern, and the Roman numerals sit on an ellipse inside the square rather than along its edges.
