Why it's interesting
The Laureato first appeared in 1975, and the 2017 collection brought it back in steel with a polished octagonal bezel sitting on a round case, a hobnail dial and GP's own calibre. It gets less attention than its Geneva rivals, which mostly works in the buyer's favour.

About this page
Verified specifications, checked September 2026
Dimensions, water resistance, movement and crystal were checked against the sources below.
Diameter, 10.68 mm, 100 m, sapphire crystal and the GP01800 from Girard-Perregaux; the 2017 introduction from The Watch Lounge's review. Lug-to-lug and bracelet width not published. Drawing simplified: the renderer's octagon draws the whole case as an octagon, whereas the real Laureato puts an octagonal bezel on a rounder case with integrated lugs; the applied 'GP' monogram above the name is omitted and 'LAUREATO' above 'AUTOMATIC' is reduced to the latter.
The illustration is a bezelga rendering generated from the specifications. It is not a photograph and may simplify details such as logos, text and finishing.
