Why it's interesting
A 1990s Promaster with a scalloped 'Fugu' bezel, a crown tucked on the left side and a no-nonsense attitude that has made it a favourite of people who actually dive. It feels like equipment rather than jewellery.

About this page
Partly verified, checked September 2026
Most specifications were checked against the sources below. Fields that couldn't be confirmed are noted or left blank.
Movement uncertain: long listed as calibre 8203 (no hacking), while recent production and Ben's Watch Club cite the hacking 8204. Production status unclear — Citizen US no longer lists it but retailers still sell it. Crown is at 8 o'clock (drawn at 9). 1997 launch per Monochrome.
