Why it's interesting
The Bathyscaphe is the Fifty Fathoms with the volume turned down: a slimmer 43 mm case, a sunray-grey dial with plain dots and batons, and a ceramic bezel, around the same five-day calibre. It's the one to choose if you like the idea of the original but not its size.

About this page
Verified specifications, checked September 2026
Dimensions, water resistance, movement and crystal were checked against the sources below.
43 × 13.45 mm, 30 bar, 23 mm lug width ('Hornabstand'), calibre 1315, ceramic bezel insert, dial and canvas strap from Blancpain (read through a text-rendering proxy). Front sapphire crystal and the 2013 introduction from WatchBase (which lists 13.40 mm; Blancpain's 13.45 mm is used). Lug-to-lug not published. Drawing: the real dial has batons at 12 and 6 and dots elsewhere (all drawn as dots), and the red-tipped seconds hand is drawn plain.
The illustration is a bezelga rendering generated from the specifications. It is not a photograph and may simplify details such as logos, text and finishing.
