Illustration. The seconds hand sweeps, like the real movement.
Why it's interesting
The Sumo is the heavyweight of Seiko's mid-priced divers: a broad 45 mm case on a comparatively slim 20 mm bracelet, with a sapphire crystal and the three-day 6R35 inside. It's the natural step up from a Turtle for people who want the same honest tool watch with better materials.

About this page
Verified specifications, checked September 2026
Dimensions, water resistance, movement and crystal were checked against the sources below.
All specs and the EUR 900 price from Seiko Germany. Baselworld 2019 launch, crown at 4 o'clock and the 2019 EUR 850 price from Monochrome. The 2022 ceramic-bezel blue Sumo (SPB321) is no longer listed by Seiko, so the black SPB101, still in the catalogue, is used. SBDC083 is the Japanese listing with identical dimensions and a black dial.
