Illustration. The seconds hand sweeps, like the real movement.
Why it's interesting
The 2026 redesign of the Master Collection, Longines' classic line since 2005: 39 mm, under 10 mm thick, with applied numerals on a light blue barleycorn dial. Understated in the best way, and hard to fault at the price.

Plenty of character for the money. A couple of small finishing details give away the price, but from a normal distance it looks far more expensive than it is.

Honestly the most fun watch I own.

Calibre L888.5 per the product sheet, stored against the shared L888 entry. Launch year per Monochrome (2026), which lists this reference but gives the thickness as 9.05 mm; the 9.40 mm here is Longines' own figure.
