With the command module powered down, the course corrections that brought Apollo 13 back were timed by hand. Swigert counted the fourteen-second burn on his chronograph; six months later NASA gave Omega its Silver Snoopy Award.

The fourteen-second burn is the version everyone tells; the flight actually needed several corrections, one of them more than four minutes long.
